Tzitzit Project Ritual Guide

Illustrated by artist Sol Weiss and co-written by Binya Koatz and Nomy Lamm, our Tzitzit Project Ritual Guide will provide you with guidance and blessings for engaging with the sacred ritual of wearing tzitzit.

Featuring masculine, feminine, and non-binary blessings in Hebrew, English and standard, Ashkenazi, and Mizraxi transliteration, this guide reflects our commitment to co-creating a more inclusive expression of Jewish spiritual practice and ritual.

Ritual Guide Co-Creators

  • Binya Kóatz (she/her) is an organizer of political and cultural diaspora on Ohlone Land in the Bay, from Lenape land in the Old Country of Queens NYC. Along with Xava, she is co-Rosh Yeshiva Shel Maala, an online-first queer yeshiva. Binya co-wrote our Tzitzit Project Ritual Guide.

  • Nomy Lamm (they/them) is a lifelong multi-media artist, dedicated to nurturing creative process in themselves and their community. Along with Rebekah, they are the co-creator of the Jewish planner, Dreaming of the World to Come. Nomy also co-wrote our Tzitzit Project Ritual Guide.

  • Sol Weiss (they/them) is a visual artist and cultural organizer raised on Lisjan Ohlone lands in the Bay Area, California. Sol uses ritual, art, song, creative strategy and experiential education for healing and cultural change at the intersections of land, justice and Jewish tradition.
